Description

Henry William Blair (1834-1920) was a lawyer and politician who began his political career in the New Hampshire House of Representatives and Senate. He then served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1875 to 1879 and was elected to the Senate by the New Hampshire legislature, serving from 1879 to 1891. Blair failed to be renominated to the Senate in 1890 and returned to the House of Representatives from 1893 to 1895. He concluded his career practicing law in Washington D.C.
