Anna Judah

Anne Pierce Judah was the wife of Theodore Dehone Judah (1825-1863) who conceived the practical plan for a transcontinental railroad route and eventually got funding from the Big Four (Stanford, Huntington, Crocker, Hopkins) and became Chief Engineer for the Central Pacific Railroad. He died just as construction began on the railroad while seeking funding to buy out the Big Four.
