Dear Cousin, I received a letter from Charlie to night saying he was going to Beaumont please write to me and let me know whether he left and why he did not stay in the shop. I hope he was not turned off, I do hope he will get a good place to work, and hold to it, as my health is very poor and I am in debt and trying to work out so as to hold on to my property. If I can sell some of my— property I want to move where my boys and get work, there is nothing for a boy to

get to do here, please advise Charlie he never was from home before, and I feel very anxious about him, he was so anxious to go, but I hated for him to go be off, he is so young, let me know how he conducted himself. It is late at night so I cannot write any, the kinfolks are all well, with much love for you and your children I remain
