I am to be bride's maid. I hate
real badly for her to marry. We have
lived in a mile of each other ever
since we came to this country.
have always been particular friend
the gentleman she is going to marry
has lived here about 8 years. he is
well thought of by all. Miss [illegible]
Johnson is the young lady Mr
Sanders the gentleman.
Has there been any cold weather
there we have had but little it has
been raining 2 weeks I think
there will be good crops next yr.
if it does not rain too much.
I'm in hope we will. There was
scarely enough made this year
here to live on. Papa has to buy
corn for the first time in a good
many years.
Have you heard who Mr Fogger
is in jail Lizzie wrote me he was
in jail Beaumont but didn't say for
