Dear Brother I received your letter some time since and [I?] should have answered it sooner but have been busy and have neglected it. you spoke of the cash in the [Bancroft?] [case?]. I sent a Draft to [Nat?] Burtin on the 24 of June by [rest of line is crossed out] letter and have the register [receipt?] and I got a letter from Mr Anderson yesterday saying that [illegible] after him about it. I wrote [Nat?] to give you a receipt for the cash so you will please see him and get it. [illegible] say that

she is going home about the 16th. she has had the fever two or three times since she has been up here but is allright now. I wrote Jr. T. Hart to try and sell the Mill property if he could and if he could not sell it to try and raise the Mortgage for me, and if he could not do anything in the matter to let me know so that I could come down and raise the money some way by the 1st of Aug as that is the time that it is due so let me know at once what he does so as to give me plenty of time I don't want to have to have to leave home if I can help it. so you and Jo[hny?] do the best that you can for me. The family are all well and send love to yourself and Mollie. Lorrie has not been well for the last four days but nothing serious. The Mill is doing better but not up to what we expect yet..
