Hamilton, N.Y. March 16 1889 Tho Robt, Russell Sr. Orange Texas. Dear Sir You will no doubt be somewhat suprised at receiving a letter from this part of the Union, but perhaps some explanations on my part will make matters plain You I believe are a son of Ernest Russell and went with your people from this part of N.Y. I have been very much interested of late in tracing the geneology of the Russell Family and any facts you can give me will be thankfully received, as well as [giving] [pleasure?] in allowing me to hear from relatives, even though distant. Respectfully, Gertie A. Williams, granddaughter of Benj. Russell, and daughter of [Amaribus?] Russell Williams.
