Turtle Bayou, Texas March 20th 1886.

H.H. Russell Esq Orange, Texas.

Dear Sir, Yours of 15th inst came to hand by last mail.

I return to you $35 by check on Mr Robert Clark, the amount you gave me as deposit costs in the suit I instituted for you in the [N.I. ?] court in Galveston. The petition was by your father. On examining the papers afterwards I became apprehensive that the suit was barred by time taken, so [illegible] [I?] [did?] [not?] incuyr further costs.
