Wallisville, Texas Sept. 2nd, 1880 Capt R. B. [R ?] Dear Sirs,

Enclosed you will find letter from [Soap ?] & Co I wrote to them - that if they would pay $500.00 and recognize your legal rights under your patent, a lawyer could be avoided. I wrote in kind and respectful terms. They reject our proposition, but want to talk it over. What shall we do? as our court here begins next Monday I have no time "to call upon them". Show this
