Minutes
Pursuant to the [fallcoming] call, the
City County of the City of Nacogdoches met
at the City Hall t 11 Oc. [and] Nov 18 1911.
Mayor Matthews presiding, alderman
Swift, [Dreaz], Spradey and McKearey
being present.
"By virtue of authority vested in
me as Mayor of the City of Nacogdoches
I, Geoff Matthews, hereby call a
Special Session of the City Council of
the City of Nacogdoches to convene at
the City Hall at 11 OC [and] Nov 18th 1911
for the purpose of taking action on
[pulition] prescribed by business men
of the City requesting a permit for
the Alamo Carnival Co & use the
public square for weeks beginning
Nov 20th under auspices of NON lodge
Signed Geoff Matthews
Mayor"

The petition above mentioned was read
by the secratary and after discussion
On motion day decended and carried
the permit was granted as requested
for week beginning Nov 20th, 1911 provided
that the streets on all four sides of
the square be left open and unobstructed
the width of the intersecting streets
also that the square be cleaned of
all trash and rubbish by said Carnival
Company after they are through.

On motion the body adjourned
