The Republic of Texas - In the name of the authority of the same

To the Sheriff of San Augustin County, Greeting:

You are hereby commanded to summon George Teal to be and appear
at the next term of the District Court to be holden at the Court
House in thr & for the County of San Augustine on the Fourth
Monday in March next, to answer the complaint of Aaron Coe
of the heirs of William R. Johnson deceased, who are William
Johnson the Father of the said William R. & Mary, late wife of
the latter, now the wife of Robert [?] the said Robert
here joining & authorising this suit; & the heirs of James
Davidson deceased, who are his sons, William Davidson
& Francis Davidson, & his daughters, who are [?], the
wife of William B. Gill / the said William B. here
joining with his wife & authorising this suit, -- Elizabeth
wife of John Davidson -- the said John here joining &
authorising this suit - Mary the wife of Alfred Blud
=worth, who here joines his said wife, & authorises
this suit. And Grand son of the said James Davidson
James S. Cartwright, a minor under the age of twenty
one years, being the only son & heir at law of Palsey
a daughter of the said James Davison, who died --
the wife of Thomas Cartwright, who is the father
of the said James S. Cartwright & his Guardian
by whom the said James S. Cartwright brings suit
& prosecutes this suit, - in an action of trespass as
well to try title as to recover damages, & to their damage
twenty five thousand dollars, & cost of suit, & to
show cause, if any he can, why judgment shall not
be rendered against him as prayed for in plaintiff's
petition. - Herein fail not, & are return make of
writ. - Witness J. B. Johnson clerk of the District
Court of San Augustine County, this 21st day of December
A.D. One thousand, eight hundred & Forty one, & of the
Independence of the sixth year - Given under my
