We the undersigned having mutually agreed to organize our selves into a church of Christ and having invited a presbytery of ministers to recognize us as such met the 15th day of May A. D. 1886. The following proceedings were had to wit:

1st By motion and second Eld. E. B. Eakin and Eld. John Holland were appointed moderator and clerk protem respectively.

2nd Letters were called for and read from the following named brethen and sisters to wit:-

3rd By motion and second the above named brethen and sisters by solemn vote decided to write themselves into a church of Christ to be known by the name of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church

4th By motion and second the articles of faith as recorded in Pendletons Church Manual were read and adopted to wit:

1st We belive that the Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is a perfect treasure of heavenly instruction that it has God for its author, salvation for its end, and

Met in conference on Saturfday before the third Sunday in August A. D. 1893.

The privilege of the church was extended for the reception of members, none received.

The minuet of last meeting was read and adopted. By move and second the church went into the election of a pastor for an other year which resulted in the election of E.d W. H. H. Hays. It was moved and seconded that the church send $1.50 to the Mt. Zion Association for minuets The church also pledged $5.00 each for home, state and foreign missions.

A committee was appointed consisting of Bros. B. F. Whitfield, P. C. Post and Jna W. Sharp to purchase from B. H. Neil a small piece of land next to the church lot. Nothing else appearing conference adjourned. The meeting was continued several days with the following results. Received by baptism Miss Maggie Jones and Miss ANnie Cary.

Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church at Beckville Texas

Met in conference on Tuesday, Sept. 12th A. D. 1893. The minuet of Aug. was read and adopted. The church letter to the Mt. Zion Association was read and adopted. There being no other business before the church conference adjourned.

Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church at Beckville, Texas

Met in conference the second Sunday in December A. D. 1893. After preaching by Eld. J. H. McLeroy the privilege of the church was extended for the reception of members. Bro. A. R. Willingham was received under the watch care of the church until he could get a letter from the church of which he was a member. Miss Mary Whatley and Honey Whatley was received by experience and their baptism was defered until some time in the future. By request of Bro. P. C. Post and wife Carrie Post they were granted letters of dismission. There being no other business claiming the attention of the church conference adjourned.

Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church at Beckville Texas

Met in conference on Sunday, Feb. 4th 1894. The privilege of the church was extended for the reception of members, none received. Called for the reading of the minuet of last meeting. The clerk had lost the minuet therefore it was not read.

There being nothing else claiming the attention of the church conference adjourned.
