1857 March 27th Halling leaves out of new
ground Raking etc, sewing Oats. Halled
up another stack Oats, & treading them
Out this evening, Mr Wyatt laying upper
floor of Porch Buck helping him -
little sow has Pigs. we have 11 Lambs
fine weather about this time,-
28th Sewing Oats Halling Rails around corn
field fence Raking & cleaning up new ground
Mr Wyatt quit last night worked 5 day this
week 29th we went to Edge Hill to Hear RoachMr
Raking & halling Out leaves at new ground
Sewing Oats cloudy & like for Rain or snow
Wyatt Came to work again this morning
Laying floor upper of Porch, Sewing flat
Land in Oats & finished sewing
31st Plowing Corn Land, Sent to Yates
Mill for meal, Halling up Logs at
new ground for Barn & Raking -
Expect to Bush Oats with Colts & Pompy a little
this evening. cloudy & like for rain,
Fire put out in our mountain field
about 11 or 12 Oclock to day & burnt up about
1100 Rails for us & over a good deal of [illegible]
We burnt leaves last night Plowing for
Corn, cloudy & like for Rain -- whoever
put out the fire is yet unknown to us
april 1st I went to Capt Clements & Miss Sarah
McCullocks, fired 11 or 12 Logs heaps to day &
it Rained a little, in the evening Plowing
2nd Raking in new ground & halling up
Logs for Barn & putting out Log heaps. very
windy last night & to day had to watch
fire last night, clear & cool to day
