31st went to Lynch Johns Funeral & the Revr^d Mr
KirkPatrick, & a Poor sermon it was

Wheat at Aspen Grove, Clem & Jerry at work
in Lot Hilling up Tobacco - Hot & Dry at&
No Rain for a long time, nights cool

2nd Trying to Finish mach[in]ing wheat at aspen Grove
to day & get home before night finished

3rd Sent 2½ Bushels wheat to Farris s Mill this morning
Fixing down machine making Table etc
working our Lot Tobacco, not finished that
Dry & Hot very dry- corn nearly dryed up^{on high land}
