1863 June 14th I staid at home Nannie Sallie
& Kate went to meeting no rain
Gave Jacob 2 p^s Bacon about 18 lbs & small
Pot Lard - Kate here Miss Sarah McC came to day

15. I went to Court for Est. Plowing & weeding corn
on creek & finished, - clear day -

16. 17 18. Weeding down Tobacco. Planted some corn
in new ground. began yesterday morning to
Lay by Corn in fresh ground above Neale House
worked out Sweet & Irish Potatoes & sugar Kane
& Peas & young corn, Plowed Neale Truck Patches
Mr Neale my overseer settled yesterday & he started
to Richmond this morning. I agreed for his wife to
stay in the house till Oct. & have her Patches &
Harriet is to work for me when I want her he
owes me 12 days which she is to work & more If
I want her, at 50¢ a day after the 12 days as [?]

19th Fine Rain last evening. planting Tobacco
this morning greens Pepper etc

20 Plowing & chopping corn to day - cloudy ^{& like for Rain}

21 Went to Abram Neals Funerale preached by Bro H.

22. Sent to Bro Tuckers for 300 lbs fodder bot of him
@ $5 pr 100 lbs. weeding down Tobacco this morning
Smith halling wood this morning - weather dry
George Edd Coleman we hear is sick in Richmond

23. Plowing & Laying by corn replanting corn
on Creek. Plowed & worked out Cotton hilling
up Irish Potatoes, cloudy this morning

24. Plowing corn & finishing Cotton Patch broom
Corn etc. & then weeding down Tobacco. - I am
going to my Plantation & to Riceville to day.

25. began to Rain last evening & continues yet till
this evening rather cool,

26th. Raining this morning & last night replanting
Sugar Kane Sent to Mill nearly 2 Bb^ls Corn for meal
Fine weather indeed - replanting Tobacco
Mr Bybee got 2 Bales Cotton from Mr Hagood this morning
1 for me 1 for the Est No 6. not pd for now.
