26th. June 1863 went to plantation after wool Corn sheller
corn & shattered corn & some oats cleaned - Rained
2 showers fine weather for every thing.

27th. cloudy fine growing weather fixed Bees & some
Gums Bushing oats sent to Mill got nearly 2 Bbls meal
Sold Mr JamesHarris my Good & fine Tobacco made
here last year 1862 he examined it. I am to
prise it in working order & deliver it in Lynchg
or nearer He is to pay me for it $1. pr.
pound or $100 pr 100 lb cash trade I carry
it to Lynchg as soon as Harvest is over
& I can get it prised

28th. Raining this morning little cooler -

29th Fine day rained all night moderately last night
thinning & setting corn to day - Raining today

30th. Fine growing morning - Jerry & Kate came last
night in the rain, Jerry came for 25 days.
began to Cutt Rye & wheat . . . . .

July 2 & 1st. Cutting wheat 1st. plowing cloudy & like for Rainworking in Tobacco & corn
warm growing weather at this time,

3rd Finished weeding Tobacco & Corn in new ground
Plowing & laying by next to Mr Keens Hot weather

4 Finished Cutting wheat to day Plowing
& working Sugar Kane pt Layed by. Rained night before

5 went to meeting Mr J. Lovelace etc Funerals
Rained at night nearly all night

6th ground wet Hot Sultry weather Halling
Logs to Keens Mill. Carried to day 3 - Logs
& 2 turns Corn for meal got 1 Turn to day

7th Sent claiborne to mill & Carrd 2 Logs to day
working on Roads Henry fixing to sett up Hhd
Rained last night & this morning again & all day

8th. Rained all night. Set up 1 Hhd yesterday
& to day Halling Logs again to day 3 Logs in all 8-
there now
