finished Choping in Tobacco worming & succoring
Tobacco Saturday. not much Rain here this week

16th Started to Court Sallie went with me
17 Come back dry weather Shrubing picked
Turnip Patch, wormed over Tobacco. –
=19th. Fanning out wheat We have had a
very wet summer & spring untill about the
10th august, & it has been dry ever since
& the Corn is suffering we think for Rain
here, tho fine rains in some places last week
21st. We have been mach[in]ing wheat choping
Corn working tobacco But one press Cider
working out Garden been to Lynchg. Sewed
Turnips etc Since the 10 augt weather has been
very dry. all the spring & summer has been
wet till augt 10th. then dry & Hot, the month of
May & June was very wet & cool - awful
times short Oat & Wheat crop now dry & the
Corn crop will be short & every thing else
22nd, Give Out to Henry son Henry claiborne
& Smith 30 lbs Bacon with some butter milk
to last till 22nd September September
Sent claiborne to Yates Mill 5 Bushels wheat
for flour 5 Bus. Corn for meal,
23. 24. 25. Sent to Mill got 2 Turns Corn from
aspen Grove. worming & succoring Tobacco
Took Bee Tree in woods Saturday night
Pride started to school at CH this morning
Ben has gone after sole Leather & carry
him to school Kill Lamb this morning
my sheep brot up here from plantation
26 cloudy & like for rain, Recd this morning
3 Bushels wheat for toll last year for
thrashing wheat shrubing & Henry & Smith at
