[st]alk field to day, cleard off to day
14th Snowed to day we halled wood awhile
& then striped Tobacco fix steer stable etc -
15. cloudy & cold this day Lowry has
agreed to hire with me another year
16th Cleaning out stable, sewed clover seed
by fodder stack on wheat & in Tobacco Lot down
to water furrows, Sewed herds Grass seed in
Guanoed Corn on wheat from Simmon tree to
Cross fence cold weather snow dont melt much
Halling wood in evening clear nights
& cloudy all day –
17 Killed Balance of my Hogs 11 this morning
Cutting them & Salted them up Richard Killed his
3 & Saml killed his & gone to cutting in
new ground
Rails malled by Christopher Keatts on out
side of fence & put up down to a certain bottom
where there is 4 notches, one 1 Rail on fence
counted by Mr E Bybee 2667 & they are
still halling, Counted by H. Templeton to —April 4 –186 1868end 900 Do
18th Halling wood waggon & Cart & Sam broke
nose of waggon axletreeI went to Mrs Hunts place
& met Mr Bybee & Mr Blanks to see about
fencing on that plantation
19th. H[?]ed Gate post & Nannie & me went to
Chalk Level, - Roads very bad Saml. Cutting
20. Hauled up Gate post then cleaned out Bill
Stable & Hauled manure in Garden 8 Loads
Hauled 1 Load straw in rack which Sam
made to day Sam made Hamper to fee Cattle
Hauled 1 Load Leaves & put in stables on hill
21st. Mr Dalton & Sam at work on axletree
for waggon Sam halled 2 Loads leaves
Richard helped about axletree but did not
finish it cloudy all day
22 Still cloudy I went to meeting S S
weather moderate wind Blew hard
