Feby 24 Rose Lain Mariah Smith Parthina Ben &
Lewis & striped over 200 sticks striped Tobacco
for me & I paid Rose Parthina Mariah &
Dolly $1.00 Dolly I paid for Richard 9 & myself 9
balance of the Dollars to the others for myself
Snow nearly gone again not very cold.

25 began to mall this morning in new
ground & 11 or 12 Oclock it began to rain
again & me & my folks went to Richards barn
& took all the Tobacco out of the Top of the barn
& went to striping till night did not rain
much, Nannie come home in the rain to day
Sallie is right smart, Ben went to mill
to day for his daddy,- & Brought my mail

26 Raining to day & I did not go Prayer
meeting this evening –

27 Tom Lain & 2 Daughters Bettie & alice
Edmond Tucker Robot[Robert?], and Sam Tuck
that I here[hear] went Richards Barn this
morning & finished his Tobacco striping
except 40 Sticks which I will finish
myself first time it rains –
Sam Gilbert Hauled out Load of
straw & Hauld wood till night cleared
off moderate wind Blew Hard to day

28th Malled till 12 Oclock then Sam Gilbert took
Ben & Lewis & Hauled up 2 Stacks Oats in
Granary to thrash to sew, fair windy day
Sewed Tomattoe Seed in Box & peper & set
Honey Suckle by Door Alex Hobson began
to mall for me next to Mr Lewis

March 1 Beautifull day Nannie gone to the
widow Colemans Sam G. & Martin Martin
Matting Shelled Corn this morning Sam
Tucker Plowing Lot for Tobacco Ben scattering
Leaves before him Nannie Come back from
Mrs Colemans
