30th Mattherly & Sam working on Cooking House
Ben & me went after waggon at Bookers
Carried chickens to Thomas Creaseys got
Bill & Mules shod at Primas Shop Beach
tree, & got home about night quite cool
Oct 1st Mr Mattherly came here this morning
Complaining Hard till 12 Oclock got So bad
with Sore throat & went home Sam Continued
this day getting Boards for Kitchen
Ben went to Millers Mill Carried 3 1/2 Bus
Corn for Our Meal & I lent 2 Bus Corn to
Sam & Carries that & got 26 [lbs] Seed Cotton
picked there to day, Lewis & Andrew
getting apples & Cutting down corn &C
2nd Cutting Lot Tobacco & finished little
before night Hired Edmond Tucker & son Saml
Edmd cut Sam Piled & Martin Smith cut from
10 oclock till near night when we finished
3 Sam Roper helped Mattherly went to get Board
& stoped [Suk] Thomas Lain Come to cut Hay
& Stayed till all day cutting Hay
4 Tom Lain cutting Hay this morning Helped
Mr Mattherly put up rafters on Cooking
room & Helped Hang Tobacco the other Side
Drain in Lot & Round it in Barn Mr M Helped
5 Cloudy this morning Lowry Come made a
bargain with from next Monday morning for
Month to sew my wheat & Get up my corn
Mr Mattherly going to Mill Millers for himself
carries a Log for Me & Coming back at 12 oclock
& carried another for weather boarding Kitchen
& got back in the night, cleared off to day
