A bad day. Hailed nearly all day. Jim & Ben could not do any thing out doors. They got some splits and mended a basket. One of the pupys bit Ben this evening. I hope it wont be any thing much. Jim killed a duck this morning. I dressed it. Josie got dinner. I mended some blankets this evening. The children did not go to school. They were not well and the day was so bad. 8 oclock

A bad day. The ice is melting. Jim & Ben went to Renan. There was no one at the store this evening. They worked on some baskets. We had a duck for dinner.

The children did not go to school.

The baby has bin very cross but is better tonight. 8 oclock

A good day. The ice is nearly all gone tonight. Ben went mink hunting this morning, did not find anything. Jim & Ben worked on baskets this evening. They have gone to Renan tonight. Josie got dinner. She worked on a basket all the time that she could today. Tonight she has a head ache. I hope she will feel better in the morning. 8 30 oclock

A beautiful day. Jim split and brought in a big pile of stove wood. I was glad. Ben finished his basket. Owen bought some hay and brought in one load. Tonight Jessie Hutcherson come and ask Ben & Josie to a party. Jim has gone to Marvin's. Josie washed a big washing today. I staid with the children. Henry & Edna went to school. I am a fraid that the baby is sick. 9 oclock

A good day. Jim & Ben finished getting up their corn, cleaned out the stables, and put leaves in them. To night Ben has gone to a dance at John Hutcherson's vacant house. Josie washed again this morning. The children went to school. I sewed on my quilt this evening. 9 oclock
