A good day. Ben fined
tobacco all day. Jim sowed
some turnip see[d] this evening.
Mr Mills and his
hands worked the road to
day and put in a new
bridge. Queen[ie] Callans
washed for us today the
first time.
I got dinner. I cooked
turnip [salit?] the first I
ever cooked in August.
Mollie Reynols & Thelma
Brumfield walked here
this evening. Johnson &
Reubin come for Molly
in the car. Thelma
staid all night here.
I am glad that she did.
