A good day. We had a
good rain this evening.
The wind blowed hard
but nothing seriously
hurt. Hope it may
rain on all the places
that need it.
Jim and Ben helped Jim
Farthing thresh wheat
this morning and Bob Starkey
this evening. Henry went
with Stuart Owens and
some more boys fishing.
They were in the rain.
I made some preserves
this morning. Etta
Gilbert brought some
berries here this
evening. I bought them
and caned them. Hope
they may keep
well. Every one feel
so glad of the rain.
Ben replanted tobacco this
evening.
