Dear sister

I've not had the good
fortune to hear from any of you,
Since my capture.I have written
Several times every opportunity and
in my letters have requested that
you send me a suit of clothes
and some money. My health has
Been quite delicate though much
better now. Any communications
to me must undergo a strict examination you will be careful
therefore not to say anything that
will prevent its passing.

Any money or package
should come by express. I hope soon to
receive a box from you as my clothes
are in bad shape your letters had
better come unsealed. Give my love to all.

From your affectionate brother
