Dear Mother:

Well it is Monday morning. We are
just waiting around to leave the ship
about two o'clock. Tomorrow we start for
home. I have no idea how long it will
take or how long it will take to get
discharged once we get there. I am a
bit doubtful now whether I'll be home
for Xmas or not. But I am almost sure
I'll be there for New Year's. But of
course we can never be sure of anything.

All is well with me. Hope things
are the same at home. All is well
that is except for me being a little short.
I won't get payed again until I am discharged.
So have a bit of money handy so if I need
it when I reach the states I can get it quick.
Don't of course send any or write at all
unless I say so.

That's about all. Give my best to all.
I'll be seeing them soon.

Your loving son
Georgie
