petitioner represents unto Your
Honor that the said Elijah -
Loyd never did dispose of said
negro slaves. But that the said Going
has fraudulently and illegally obtained
possession of said slaves and has
and dies still refuse to return the
possession of said negroes to your
petitioner or any part of them.
Although your petitioner is thereto
lawfully entitled to the possession
of said negroes - and has often
demanded them - and your
petitioner represents unto Your
Honor that, he, your petitioner fears
that the said Going will remove
the aforesaid slaves out of the
Jurisdiction of Your Honorable
Court unless a writ of
Sequestration issues. Therefore
your petitioner prays Your Honor
that a Writ of SEquestration issue
to the Sheriff of said County to take
into his possession said slaves and
that the said Going be cited [words crossed through _ "by your honorable Grant] to answer
this petition and that he be adj-
udged and condemned to deliver
up said negroes to your petitioner
and that it be decreed that he
the said Going pay all the costs
of this such to be [.....xed]
And your petitioner prays for
all such other and further relief as
to justice, fair & equity may app-
ertain, as in duty bound your
petitioner will ever pray so.
