Prof. L.L. Holladay;
Dear Sir:-
I have the honor to inform you that, on motion of your friends, you have been elected a member of The Association of Teachers in Virginia.
Your membership will now be accomplished by paying the initiation fee of five dollars and signing the Constitution: but I am instructed to say that a liberal contribution above that fee, was made by the members present at the Convention; and that any addiion which the members-elect may find it convenient to make to our deficient treasury, will afford us timely aid in carrying out the benevolent purposes of the Association.
Those who wish to become members of the Association should give prompt notice to the Corrseponding Secretary and suggest any corrections to be made in their name or address.
The next Annual meeting of the Association will by holden in Richmond between the 20th and the 31st of Decr, 1864.
Very respectfully yours,
A.J. Leavenworth
