6/10/86 left Beaufort Sea pitching + rolling out past the bouys seas 3 to 4 feet did rubbing of top of block 3

6/11/86 9:25 Day of first drop Paul + Lillian seasick - this morning sunlight hot but high cumulus to the south. 8 to 10 foot swells. Boat rocking steadily. Breakfast - tried to make oat bran but water slurped out of bowl - too unsteady - granola banana + okra.

6/11/86 The day I dove in the water after celebrating the first drop only to disloate my shoulder when I hit the water. 3 hours before Coast Guard arrived + reset my shoulder with morphines help. Spent a week + three days recuperating then flew to meet the boat in Bermuda.

Block #9

6/30 left Bermuda A block 100 miles off Bermuda is in Bermudian waters? They say yes. I say anything on the botton belongs only to the earth — a mad plan this. A [Magnetic] disturbance of our mind. The old Fridhem plunging thru the night seas. She sways crazily back + forth, up and down. in a four to eight foot sea. A Swedish tub boat blissed out on rock + roll. Will the reliable old work horse come thru and carry us to the Azores? She seems to cover more ground back + forth than she does forward. Even in moderate sea. [Oline] chorus at sea, perhaps from [Phaluicia]?

7/1/86 Everyone a little ill. Impossible to keep your feet on the deck without hanging on. Sea about 8 to 10 foot swells. Big event of day was drop of block nine. 6:30 approx. PM

7/2/86

Ocean, Boat, six humans. When sitting around is too uncomfortable one goes to bed. Can we survive another 17 days? Do we have enough fuel? Have not seen a ship since we left Bermuda. Cannot raise Radio Bermuda. Sunday or Monday Bermuda news — paper had article about me. Had good chat with [National Radio] people all of "Oceanus" in Bermuda
