Mental Philosophy. An act requires three powers: 1. Intellect which thinks 2. Sense, which feel. 3. Will, which does.
We never did anything in our lives which we did not want to do. We may be very sorry that we have reason to want to but the fact still remains that we want to.

We, almost always think in words. {"Thought" in margin} By improving our words we improve our thoughts. Thought is like an object placed behind a colored glass the sensibility. While the thought remains the same it is colored by circumstances. {"Feelings" in margin} Our sensibilities are never in words. Feelings are expressed in a natural language as by tones of the voice, expression of the face, posture of the body. We can imitate feeling. There are five senses. A sense of weight {"Will" in margin} is by some called a sixth sense. A refined sense is personal affinitiy repulsion on first impressions. Some persons whom we meet we think we would like to know more of. Real, true friendships are formed by this recognition of harmony. Children learn to read us better than adults. Therefore we should never deceive the children. As we become older we learn to weigh the actions and motives of others
