care constantly, but despite of this, if she attends
school too closely & is exposed to the cold & wet she
runs the risk of taking cold & she cannot be too careful.
Charles I think is growing more strong & his
constitution is now more able to bear the changes of
weather & fatigue. Give my love to them & tell them
not to forget to write occasionally if they write only
a few lines as I value their letters very much & I shall
try to write them as often as they do me.

You speak about my writing John Parker. I have
written him but once & that was last August & I
recieved an answer last December since which time I have
neither written him nor he me for the reason I
suppose that we have had no occasion to do so

For the last four months I have written to no one
but you & C & H & Mr Tuckers family with the exception
of one letter which I wrote to P. J. Kellogg & when I have
as little time to write as I now have, & feel no more
like writing I cannot write to any one else, even if
I had a desire to. It is now 10 Oclock & I feel sleepy
so excuse me from writing & I will bid you good
night & retire. Monday Eve 28th. Have just returned
from my business & eaten some toasted bread & drank
a bowl of tea. Am well as usual but Sam has got
a bad head-ache this evening -- he wishes to be remembered
to you, Please give my best respects to all my friends,
both married & single, although I do not know but what
they are all married before this time. As I have filled
my sheet will now close. Please write often. That we may
all be blessed with health, & live happy is the sincere wish of
Your affect. Son H. A. Parker. [Henry A. Parker]
