personal estate which if living she would
have been entitled to receive under the foregoing
provisions of my will, to my brother Arnold
S. Richmond of Rockland, in the State of
Maine and to his children, and to the children
of my deceased sister Nancy late the wife
of R. L. Jackson, of said Rockland in the
following proportions. One half to my said
Brother, and the remaining one half to the said
Children of my said sister Nancy and the chil-
dren of my said Brother Arnold, living at my
decease and the issue of such as may then be
dead, such issue taking his or her parents
share, their heirs and assigns forever. --

Item. I give devise and bequeath to my said
Brother Arnold S. Richmond, the remaining
equal fourth part of my estate real and personal
of every name and nature whatsoever and
whensoever, to have and to hold the same to
him his heirs and assigns forever. ---

Item. I hereby nominate and appoint my friends
George W. Robie of the City and State of New-York,
Samuel P. Benson of Winthrop, Maine, Joseph
C. Dwight of Hallowell, Maine, and John V.
Plume, of San Francisco, California,
Executors of this my last Will and Testament
