I wish you would tell Charles, that I
should like to recieve [receive] a letter from him
bye and bye, if not sooner, and as an
inducement for him to write me oftener
than he has done, I propose to offer him
for every hour, that he devotes to writing
me, as much as Mr Lewis gives him for
each days work. Tell him to try it once
and see if he dont [don't] think it will pay.

I will also answer all his letters or
not as he may desire, -- I think,
if he can work for Mr L. he can write
for me, oftener than once in six months.
Still, if he really objects to writing me then
I have nothing more to say. --

My health remains good, if I
except the toothache, with which I have
been troubled for a day or two. It is
quite comfortable this evening however --
and I hope I am getting rid of it.

If it troubles me much more I shall
have the "torturer" extracted --

Business is about the same, Mr
Noyes [Ephraim Noyes] is well and sends his respects
to you. Give my love to Charles & Harriet
and remember me to Uncle Bradley and fam-
ily, and all friends. Your Son
H. A. Parker [Henry A. Parker]

Tell "Cousin Jennie" if you see her that if she comes
to California in the Spring that I shall expect her to
call and see me.
