some one of them, write me by nearly every mail

Think I will not finish my letter until after
I receive yours as the mail does not leave here for
the Atlantic states until next Thursday, today being
Monday, so "Good Afternoon" ----

Tuesday morning Mar. 14th I went to the P.O. yesterday
afternoon, but found that the mail was so large (330
bags) that it would not be assorted until this morning

So after getting my breakfast this morning, I went
again to the Office, where after waiting about two hours
in the rain I received my letters, one from you,
one from Lizzie Lewis, one from Augustus T. & one from
J. A. T. all of which were very acceptable I assure you.

I was very happy to hear that you were all en-
joying good health & I hope you will long continue
to. Am glad to hear that you are getting along so
nicely with your out door work, getting up your wood &c
also that you received the gold sand which I sent
you. Mr. Lewis does indeed place a great deal of
confidence in Charles, but I dare say he is as well aware
as I am that he is safe in doing so. ---

Now a word in my own favor. I will just quote a
few words from the letter which I received from Mr
Tucker, this morning. He says: I have been thinking
for a few days past that perhaps if you were not making
money very fast, you would be willing to come back to
Boston again Since the 1st of January my business has been
