San Francisco Sept 29th 1854

Dear Mother

The bearer of this letter, is my
friend and partner Mr. Ephraim Noyes of
whom I have written you before.

He leaves here tomorrow on a visit- to his
family and friends in North Bridgwater Mass [Bridgewater]
where he will remain a few days to arrange
his business there &c. and then return to San Francisco
and will probably not be absent from here more
than eight weeks at least I hope not

Mr N. has kindly offered to pay you a visit
and take anything to you that I feel disposed
to send I gladly accepted his offer as I would
like to have you become acquainted with him
as he will be able to give you a correct account
of my health situation &c. as we have now done
business together and moved together since the 20th
of last May During that time I can say that
we have got along well together neither one of us
to my knowledge having been at all dissatisfied
with the other and I find him to be not only
as a partner but as a friend every way suited
to give me entire satisfaction and I feel pleased
in introducing him to your acquaintance.
