hear from me. I am glad
you that I am improoving [improving]
I have been out to day for
I took a short ride and
lf I am well at hast and
harty [heraty] but I am very much marked
& look rather bad I canot [cannot] share my
face yet which makes me look wors [worse] but
I hope a few days will make an alteration
the doctors says it will all go
a way but it goes slow fer [for] me. I sent
over fer [for] the cooper man this Evening
and he caled [called] and says he has tried
to get a man to set at your work but
as yet has been unable to procure one
he says he has now hire of two and has
advertised in the sun paper and he thinks
he will be able to get one on next
week he says if he can get a man next
week he can have the work don [done] before
the 10th of next month. he say when I
write next week I can write some
thing positive. (I told him what he said was
vere [very] Inderinite [indefinite] that was if he cold [could] get a man
and we must know positive next week.
)

If I am able to knock around next
week I will try & get spiked what I
have redey [ready]. we expect I. G.Bates back on
Sunday next they have hird [heard] from him I
Expect he can give considerable Information
my spirete [spirits] are very good on the subject & I
hope we will be able to get of without any
