II These riches of G^s [God's] goodness
are designed to lead to repen. [repentance].

1 This men forget –. G. [God] does not
oppose sin bec. [because] he blesses transgressors.
His goodness opposes sin.

We receive, revel, sin on; & G. [God] bestows, blesses
showers benefits – to shame & melt us –
into a better state – to lead in light of
good – own baseness & ingratitude. –
Prosperity makes many presumptuous.

rep. [repentance]; then he applies the resources of
forbearances proper – he does not cut
