VI. Is not easily provoked thinketh
no evil." Not soon tempered or
stirred up – (Paul at Athens) – Not prone
to violent anger – exasperation – not
passionate, hasty, excited. But calm,
sober, considerate – letting anger have
a moment to cool. If we truly love
a man we shall not be quickly angry
with him –: will rather suffer abuse than
get enraged, & so enrage others.
