2. He teaches us the value
of time.

To us whose mortal life was
to be so brief – God has most im-
-pressively made known how val-
-uable time is. Has made the sys-
-tem on purpose to instruct us in
the matter. Of such conseq. [consequence]
did He deem it.

Have not a moment to waste.
As Christians a year is gone.
As sinners a year is lost.
Time is fixed on the front of all
things – marked as the most
precious gift of Heaven.
