Keep in goodly state all the auxiliaries
of the church meetings for prayer business &c. [etc.].
Pub. [Public] worship on Sab. [Sabbath] – good choir – good
attendance – make it attractive – strive
to gain the young men & all who will.
Prestige with those who have life. – Nothing as bad
as to have others think & to think ourselves that we are
dwindling.

Must pay one ch. [church] debt –
Remove what is unsightly in the ch [church], adorn repair
& adorn it. All depends on your efforts
for success. As you can't expect much
from your preacher – you must be
more diligent & earnest in the work for
yourselves. Friends here & at home
expect much at your hands ~

Do not disappoint them – nor
lay it up for yourselves ~
