proceed to empty those into the ocean, not into the interior, the cage of the vile & unclean
who have so g long troubled them. There is little
fear that so many, in such circs circumstances will proceed
to any moral wrong; – but they ought to proceed
with the prugl pumping process unflinchingly.

And from this time forth let every man one
say – who has any manhood in him – &
palsied the cursed be the man who arrays himself; & palsied be the arm
lifted that lifts itself against the freedom of speech, & the free-
-dom of the press. If any utter libels, & let them,
on conviction, answer for them; & let the evil
they utter recoil on themselves. Honest, repu-
-table, citizens can endure such freedom

Let poltroony [poltroonery] & cowards be afraid; – but
let us be just, & fear not. A manly appeal
it is scarce in manhood not to feel.

"Thrice is he armed &c who hath his quarrel just;
And he but naked, though locked up in steel,
Whos [Whose] conscience with injustice is corrupted".
