Whereas I, Narcissa H. Richmond of Winthrop in the county of Kennebec and State of Maine, on the 16th day of March 1889 made and executed my last will and testament in writing ; and whereas by my said will I gave and bequeathed to my son Cyrus C. Richmond and my daughter Edith A. Robie all the rest, residue and remainder of my estate; now I do hereby makeand declare this writing to be a codicil to my last will and testament, to be annexed to and taken and allowed as part thereof; and I do revoke said bequest, and give and bequeath to my sons George Q. and Cyrus C. Richmond and my daughter Edith A. Robie , their heirs and assigns forever, to be equally divided between them, all the rest residue and remainder of my estate, real and personal of which I may be possessed at my decease. In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this fifth day of June, 1897. Narcissa H. Richmond. (seal) Signed, sealed, published and declared by the said Narcissa H. Richmond to be her last will and testament, in presence of us who, at her request, in her presence and in the presence of one another, have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto, this fifth day of June, 1897. The last Will of Cyrus C. Richmond, deceased, a copy of which is hereto annexed, having been proved and recorded in the Probate Court of San Francisco County, John V. Plume, who is named therein is hereby appointed Executor. Witness, James E. Wainwright, Clerk of the Probate Court of San Francisco County with the seal of said Court affixed this day of June 1852.

In the name of God, Amen. I, Cyrus C. Richmond of San Francisco State of California, of the age of twenty six years, and being of sound mind and memory do make, publish, and declare this my last will and testament in manner following.

I direct that all my past debts be paid.

Item. I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Fannie the one equal half part of all my real and personal estate of every name to be used and enjoyed by her during the term of her natural life, and from and immediately after her decease, I give, devise and bequeath the said one equal half part of my property aforesaid to my Mother Nancy S. Richmond, widow of Winthrop in the State of Maine, to have and to hold the same to her and her heirs and assigns forever.

Item. I give devise and bequeath to my said Mother Nancy S. Richmond the one equal fourth part of all my real and personal estate of every name and nature whatsoever & whensoever to have and to hold the same to her and her heirs and assigns forever. Item. personal estate which if living she would have been entitled to recieve under the foregoing provisions of my will, to my brother Arnold S. Richmond of Rockland, in the State of Maine and to his children and to the children of my deceased sister Nancy late the wife of R.L. Jackson, of said Rockland in the following proportions. One half to my said Brother and the remaining one half to the said children of my said sister Nancy and the chil= dren of my said Brother Arnold, living at my decease and the issue of such as may then be dead, such issue taking his or her parents share, their heirs and assigns forever. Item.- I give devise and bequeath to my said Brother Arnold S. Richmond, the remaining equal fourth part of my estate real and personal of every name and nature whatsoever and whensoever, to have and to hold the same to him his heirs and assigns forever.-- Item.-- I hereby nominate and appoint my friends George W. You being elected on the twenty first day of August A.D. one thousand eight hundred and twelve to be Captain of a Company in a Battalion of Artillery In the first Brigade, and Thirteenth Division of the Militia of this Commonwealth; reposing special trust and confidence in your ability, courage, and good conduct, I do, buy these Presents, Commission you accordingly. You will therefore, with honour and fidelity, discharge the duties of said Office, according to the Laws of this Commonwealth, and to Military Rule and Discipline. And all inferior Officers and Soldiers are hereby commanded to obey you in your said capacity; and you will yourself observe and follow such orders and instructions as you shall, from time to time, receive from the Commander in Chief, or other others your Superior Officers.

Given under my Hand, and the Seal of the Commonwealth, the seventh day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twelve and is in the 37th year of the Independence of the United States of America.
