I have not heard from Sam Tucker for
a long time only by way of his friends in Mass. [Massachusetts]
but I intend to write him a few lines this
afternoon, and hope to get an answer in
the course of a week. Mr. Wm. Shipley [William Shipley] is quite
well, for him to be. -- He sends his respects
to you. Mr. Noyes [Ephraim Noyes] does the same ---

Jos. Elliott is getting along finely ---

All of my acquaintances here are as well
as usual, and California is indeed a healthy
country.

Give my love to Chas. [Charles] and Harriet
and my friends whom you see.

I hope by next mail to receive
two letters from you, instead of receiving
none as I did This time.

Accept the love and kind wishes of

Your loving Son
H. A. Parker [Henry A. Parker]

To
Mrs Ann Parker
E. Pepperell
Mass

Mar 4th I have just recd [received] a letter
from Chas. and a valentine from you.
It was kind of him to write me, and
very kind of you to remember me
in your sickness. I hope you are
now, again enjoying good health
and would be able to write me by
the mail of the 20th Feby. [February]

Accept the love of Your Son Henry.
