II Flatters himself he is strong,
when he is weak.

1 How weak it is in trying to do
duty sometimes – saying of prayers –
shows faint false heart.

They are only sowing their wildoats [wild oats].

Passions to [too] strong for him – can-
-not resist them – Man in fever
unable to walk – yet delirium
makes him do all things.

Tell him he dishonors himself
&c. [etc.] – they know it – but have
no power to resist t. [the] temptation,
but if a boy come they can leave
it off
