My dear Madame.
Your letter of the 26th inst [instant] at hand. I take pleasure in sending you a Copy of the Hymn. Composed by your dear Husband Dr Benton as refered [referred] to in my letter to him. I think I was, the only one that had a Copy – I forgot to mention it to him when I last saw him at my Hotel Lake Tahoe.
Dr Benton officiated at our Marriage July 25th 1849 One

I thank you for the Kind offer to send me a "Memorial Book, of Dr Bentons [Benton's] life" I should be pleased to receive one with Kind request from my wife & self.
