old trouble of amoebic dysentery – We hope it is
nothing more than that. I sent him a bottle of
new [underlined] remedy Uncle A sent & told me about it
was originated by a Dr Walker who is with the
Hooper Foundation of Medical Research connected
with this affiliated college. I talked to him about it.

He says it seems to work very well in some cases
when Emetine has not [underlined] so much effect – but says
that Iodide of Bismuth & Emetine is very [underlined] successful
& has been well tested out – his remedy is
oil of Chenopodium – it has been very successful
in his known treatments & also in Amoebic dysentery, wherever
