Dear Edward:

I am glad you approve
of the camp circulars
and I wish we were to
have your cheerful company
again.

I shall be on the lookout for
a job for you. You were not
explicit as to just what sort
of work you were looking for
& I suppose you realize that a
mountain job means long hours
and small pay. Summer
resort work never is good pay
– at least in the Sierras.

The outing, such as it is, is counted
as an emolument I believe.
