full of tradition and sentiment.

In regards to the welcome for
the soldiers and sailors I can say
that I think they are getting quite
a reception in Boston and its environs
especially in the smaller towns and
suburbs. I found it quite different
when I got home from the feeling
you and I both had in New York.
I guess we misjudged the place, for
its so large so cosmopolitan etc.
that individually or collectively as
you may put it the people in
the hotels and theaters etc are really
not New Yorkers at all. However they
are supposed to be Americans first
