Dear Hooverine,

I can write a better letter
on a typewriter, but if you will excuse
pen and ink, I would like to use it as
a rest from the mechanical ra-ta-
ta-tap of the little steel letters.

Now first of all – about this
man Hoover. I am a Johnsonite and
proud of it. I am more interested in
a league of Americans than in fifty
