were on our way out to the
range and we couldn't see
twenty feet ahead of us on
account of the dust. I had
my rifle all cleaned and
oiled so you can imagine
what it looked like when
the oil and dust got mixed
together.

I just came out of the
show and was on my way
"home" but thought I had
better drop in the hostess
house and write this letter.
You see I saw a pretty
fair show and consequently
feel pretty good.

The Standard had
the list of names of the
men who will leave for
this camp on the twenty-fourth
but I didn't see Arch's name
amongs them. Ruth said he
would be called in this
next bunch. I feel sorry
for this bunch when it
hits this camp as it is going
to run into the hardest
boiled bunch of "non-coms"
