San Francisco June 29, 15
Dear Friend Marie,
I recieved your letter and am glad to hear that you are well and enjoying your self. I wish I could get a week off and come down to go in bathing. Jim said some thing about going to Santa Cruz over the Fourth but is not sure if he will go. We are going to Napa on the 16th of July and only wish you were going. We planing a trip for the end of July or the first of August and I hope you will be able to make that trip. I rang up your aunt the other night and your aunt and uncle are coming across the bay Sunday.
My two cousins are staying
at the house this week and we have lots of noise. I went to a dance with them last Tuesday night. Everything is fine up here and I get home early at nights. (no more jitneys). This is all I can think of to write at present so I will close with love and kisses from one who thinks of you.
P.S. Do not forget to write soon.

I only wish that you was with me, or I was with you. Do you remember the last Wednesday night on my front porch. Oh that I could only be in your arms once more. I will be so glad when I get back. Sorry that I couldn't be at the Whist Party. Write and
knees. Took a lot of pictures. The oldest girl took a picture of me sitting out in the middle of the creek on a log with my feet hanging in the water. Gee I bet it will be a fierce picture. Monday we hiked in a different direction took more pictures. We started quite early and came home about 1:30 then we went out in the machine way past Saratoga, and then up to the "Odd Fellow's Home." We had a very pleasant time. Tuesday
