Dearest Marie.

I received your letter of Jan. 7
to day and was over joyed to hear
from you. It certainly made me feel
happy when I read your letter. I
am glad to hear that you enjoyed
the holidays so well and that Santa
was so good to you. I am sorry dear
that I could not be there or send
you any little token. You know
darling I would loved to give you
a certain trinket but I spent my
holidays some where on the ocean.
Gee I wish I had been out to your
aunt's house when you had all that
fun and at my mothers birthday
party. I sure missed the New Years
celebration with all the noise and
